A unique item at the playground was this teeter-totter. It was in high demand, but
a couple times Philip and Angelika found it free. Luckily they were pretty
evenly balanced. Getting a big bump at the top seemed to be the objective.

We tried out our new tent. Takes a little longer to put up, but it's definitely nice,
and seems to handle the rain better than the old one, although we didn't get a strong
thunderstorm to really try it out.

We did get a little rain the second night, but not enough to bother us, especially with
the tarp over the picnic table.

The dunes along the lake are over 100 feet high, and climbing up the soft sand in the
mid-day sun left Angelika needing a break in the shade.

But at the top, there was a very nice view of the beach, and in
the distance you can see downtown Chicago, 30 miles away across Lake Michigan. (Click

Or to roll down the hill, as the case may be.
Then a final run all the way down to the bottom of the dune,
at top speed.

Philip finds out why his shoes "seemed too small".
