On several images (where I made it available - check the cursor), a mouse click on the image will bring up a new window of just that image, typically 500KB to 700KB in size. To save this picture and to see it truly full-size, a right-click (or control-click for original Mac mouse users) will bring up an option to save it as a separate file.

Original-sized pictures (often 5 megapixels) are available on request.

Summer 2008 - Yellowstone Trip and Grandpa's 75th

We then spent about 24 hours at Woodbine, a Montana State Park, across the Bear Tooth Mountains from Yellowstone (to the NE), although there's no direct route to this area except from the north.

Approaching Woodbine, one must go thru the small town of Nye, where the sign sums it up with "Entering and Leaving NYE, MONTANA".

Grandma and Grandpa's camper parked at Woodbine.
Grandma and Grandpa Neff at the stream in Woodbine.
Philip found the mountain stream water to be a tad bit cold. He did eventually stand up in the water (for an ice-cream cone), but preferred to stay on top of the boulders out of the water. It didn't help that one of the dogs pushed one of his shoes into the water, and we had to wring it out, then dry it by the fire later.

There are some impressive waterfalls at Woodbine.

And a less-than-impressive log cabin on the way back to Nye.

Our other summer vacation was to Northome.
