Some of my Weird or Funny Pictures
This is a house near Canby, MN in 1992. My parents and I went to Canby on a Sunday drive
because we heard there was storm damage (they lived nearby in SW MN), but we
couldn't get into the town itself, there was police tape blocking several roads.
So we were heading back home when I looked to the side and said, "Hey, is that
house upside-down?". Sure enough it was. If you look close, there are lawn ornaments
still standing in the yard. It appears part of the roof is held up by a tall tree
stump. We later heard this was an unoccupied rental property, so nobody was hurt.
Hey, why are all the trees leaning? I better hold this one up!
(My son took this picture,
actually we're on a steep hillside and I'm leaning against the tree, with the camera held
at an angle).
I'd like to see the blueprints for this house! (I think it's a house.) We saw this when leaving
Yellowstone National Park, heading towards Cody, WY, and had to look twice.
Being a good German, I couldn't pass up this picture!
Saw this in "genteel" Loudoun County, Virginia. I wasn't sure which way to go on this:
You know you're a redneck when your rebel flag is half as wide as your house, or
You know you're a redneck when your rebel flag costs more than your truck.
Sometimes in Chicago you want a red light just so you can figure out the signs...
I had been to quite a few VW car shows, and thought I had seen everything you could do
to a bug or a bus.
And finally, a picture from our farm. Sheep peacefully grazing, nothing seems unusual here,
right? Let's look a little closer - there's no wires on the fenceposts! We took them down a day
before when we moved the fence in closer to the house, and the sheep still grazed right up
to the edge of the old fenceline. Finally one "renegade" ewe noticed and went in to graze on
the thick grass - then there was a mad stampede as the other sheep followed her - thru the
same spot she had gone, as if there was a single break in the fence! We can call sheep
stupid - but did you notice the fence had no wires?
